Hammock Suites, a boutique hospitality provider in Saint Lucia’s tourism hub of Rodney Bay, has completed a comprehensive energy audit under the Credit Risk Abatement Facility (CRAF).

The audit, conducted by regional firm EcoCarib, was delivered through CRAF’s Technical Assistance Programme, which supports Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in identifying energy-saving opportunities and preparing investment-ready projects.

The results indicate potential energy savings of up to 38%, with projected annual cost reductions exceeding XCD $22,000. A complementary solar PV system was also identified as feasible, presenting an opportunity for Hammock Suites to reduce reliance on grid electricity and improve energy resilience.

The business is now positioned to explore financing opportunities with CRAF-partner financial institutions, supported by the programme’s partial credit guarantee mechanism.
