CDF Launches Manuals For SMEs On Trade Access, Alternative Finance Sources & Business Agility

The intended beneficiaries of these manuals are the SME's and MSMEs of the LDCs of CARICOM, one of CDF's more significant constituencies. The project to create these manuals was conceived in 2005 following visits to the LDCs by the Prime Minister with Lead Responsibility for the CSME at that time. The need for this specific information was determined from routine reviews of complaints and requests for support received by CARICOM from business operators and organisations as well as feedback received during the CDF's initial visits through the beneficiary Member States during 2009.

The CDF would wish to thank all of the respondents and facilitators of this project in particular, the European Union for underwriting this activity as well as the staff of UWI Consulting for their dedication to the project.
